During my postdoc in IMDEA Materials, I have participated in 3 research project: MUVITCAPCOM, TEMACON, ADDICOMP, and one industrial project BINOMIAL. Characterization of composite materials with multiscale simulations based on finite elements, and experimental validation.
During my postdoc in Ghent University, I have participated in 4 research project: CompoHex, 7 months, thermo-mechanical simulations of composites with short fibers; InterPoCo, 12 months, characterization of nanomechanical properties based on experiments coupled with simulations; M3Strength, 23 months, Damage simulations via micro-mechanical models of composite laminates; Self-healing, 24 months, simulation of fracture propagation in polymers with embedded microcapsules.
During my postdoc in Institute of Nuclear Fusion, I have participated in several research project: Desing and Materials for HiPER-ESFRI, Europen HiPER project, and First wall materials and final optic materials in inertial fusion reactors.
Qualifications
Languages: Spanish - Native; English - Equivalent C1 (experience abroad); Dutch - B1; German - Equivalent B1 (EOI 3rt course)
Teaching experience
Official teaching at bachelor and master level 112 hours in Ghent Univeristy, bachelor and
master level 61 hours in UC3M as adjunct professor (Part-time), and master level 90 hours in UPM as Profesor Ayudante Doctor. In addition, visiting professor in master level courses in UPM and UC3M.

32 peer-reviewed journals (23 in the first quartile, 8 as first corresponding author), 7 book chapters, 11 conference papers (Citations: 350, h-index: 11 Scopus)

Participation on 10 research projects on different thematic areas (micro fluid dynamics, materials for nuclear reactors, self-healing polymers based on microcapsules, strength of fiber-reinforced composites, characterization of nanometer specimens, and composite heat exchangers).
Scientific knowledge/network
Computational of materials and structures based on finite element models. Thermo-mechanical simulation in a multi-scale approach for structural materials under different loads. Calculation of radiation fluxes of plasma facing materials.
Collaborations with more than 7 international research groups of different universities with experience in: electron microscopy, mechanical testing under complex loads, molecular dynamic simulations and synthesis of polymers.
Collaborations with industrial partners. Material manufacturing companies and developers of finite element solver.
