Abstract

The Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategies (EDUSI), financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) during the period 2014-2020 in Spain, have meant important investments in urban regeneration and renewal in many Spanish cities, becoming a funda-mental tool, with an integrated and long-term vision, of their most recent transformations. The ap-proach and analysis of the EDUSI of Motril (Granada), which is in its final phase of implementation, is of great interest to know in depth the experience in terms of the configuration of competitive urban spaces in social welfare and quality of life and how this has become one of the axes of the vision and strategic planning of the city.
