Abstract

A simulator of the radar back-scattering of a helicopter illuminated by a linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar is proposed. Due to the high rotational speed of the blades, their tips move several wavelengths during the transmitted ramp and the stop-and-go assumption is not valid anymore. The results of the simulator are supported by experimental data.
