Abstract

Electroencephalography is well-known for its importance in the diagnosis and treatment of mental and neurological disorders, specially in ill patients with a variety of cerebral injuries and altered states of consciousness. However, nowadays, this procedure is limited by the technology available, leading to an uncomfortable patient experience and movement limitations for both experts (doctors or researchers) and patients. To help solving this problem, in this paper, we present Mob-EEG which is a user-centered designed smartphone application for wireless electroencephalogram and its potential use in Intensive Care Units.
