Abstract

Los arquitectos Fernández del Amo y Bellosillo tuvieron un papel destacado en la profunda renovación que se dio en la diócesis de Madrid a partir de 1965, necesitada de nuevos templos tras su reorganización territorial. Ambos arquitectos también realizaron intervenciones en edificios históricos, si bien lejos del activo foco madrileño. Fernández del Amo en dos iglesias rurales del Valle del Tiétar (Ávila) y Bellosillo en la iglesia de El Salvador de Soria, manipularon drásticamente los edificios para adaptarlos a la liturgia posconciliar, enriqueciéndose las cuestiones tipológicas con las constructivas, las urbanas o con la integración de las artes. Por el contrario, los escasos proyectos de intervención en edificios históricos en la propia diócesis madrileña nunca vieron la luz.
