Abstract

Santa Adela neighbourhood is located in the south of Granada (Spain). The intervention strategy includes a full urban reform of 1500 dwellings built in the last 50s for the 1956-earthquakevictims of Granada. One of the main objectives was to improve people’s quality of life and health together with the promotion of social integration and economic activity. With this purpose, an integral and public intervention took place, combining 5 areas where different interventions were developed: demolition and construction of new buildings, public spaces and green areas, and 2 rehabilitation areas for those buildings in better conditions. Within the project, different socio-educational and participation initiatives carried out.
