Resumen
BIM (“Building Information Modeling”), is a digital information exchange methodology, widely implemented in engineering, architecture and construction worldwide. Our cultural heritage is a historical good of humanity. When it is deteriorated or in poor condition, it is necessary for its reconstruction or restoration to be in the most faithful and precise way to the original state. Its subsequent maintenance is also imperative for the perfect duration of the good. The application of BIM methodology in historic buildings, such as the ones that make up the cultural heritage of Aragon, an example would be the gothic churches, is essential to be able to rebuild and maintain them, reinterpreting original information in an accurate way based on digital information models. Applying this methodology allows us to obtain accurate information by developing a three-dimensional model with parameterized information of its elements with total reliability. The main objective is to achieve, the application of BIM methodology in the historical buildings of heritage, specifically, in the gothic of Aragon Kingdom. Another objective is the optimization of both schedule (planning) and costs in these historic buildings. This is what we call Digital Archeological Architecture (DAA), which could be a new professional field for architects.
