Ingeniero Agrónomo en 1987. Doctor en 1987. Desde 1991 Profesor Titular de Universidad (PTU) a tiempo completo del Área de Conocimiento de Producción Vegetal, desempeñando sus funciones investigadoras y docentes en la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). En el periodo comprendido entre 1995 y 2012, Secretaria Docente del antiguo Departamento de Producción Vegetal: Botánica y Protección Vegetal de la UPM. En 2012-2014, Directora de ese mismo Departamento. Desde 2017, Responsable del Grupo de Investigación denominado Grupo de Agroenergética. Conocimiento interdisciplinar sobre las interrelaciones agricultura-bioenergía-medioambiente. En el ámbito científico, participante en numerosos proyectos competitivos Europeos y Nacionales, y en convenios con instituciones y empresas. Autora de numerosos artículos de investigación en revistas científicas y congresos internacionales. En los últimos años ha sido la investigadora responsable por parte de UPM de los proyectos europeos OPTIMA (Optimization of Perennial Grasses for Biomass Production ) e Information Tool for Sustainable Biomass Resources for Biofuel Production (Tender), y del proyecto Nacional RTA PROBIOCOM. Actualmente es la investigadora responsable UPM del proyecto europeo Life Biomass C+. En el año 2020 ha contribuido con 4 trabajos científicos; 1 artículo Q1 en Biomass & Bioenergy, 1 capítulo de 1 libro de ámbito internacional por invitación (Nova Science Publishers), 1 artículo científico en Proceedings de la European Biomass Conference & Exhibition y 1 póster en Congreso internacional. Tiene 5 tramos de investigación consecutivos reconocidos.  

Prof. Curt is an Agricultural Engineer (1982) who obtained her PhD in Bioenergy in 1987. She is a tenured Associate Professor (1991) in the Field of Plant Production at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain. Currently she is the Head of the Agro-Energy Group, an acknowledged research team of UPM.  As a professor of UPM, she was the Secretary (1996-2012) and the Head (2012-2014) of the former Department of Plant Production: Botany and Plant Protection (2012-2014). She has a substantial inter-disciplinary knowledge on the relationships between agriculture-bioenergy- environment. She contributed to numerous research projects funded by the European Commission and by Spanish Institutions, and delivered significant contributions on scientific journals and international conferences. Relevant European projects to which she was the leader of the UPM team include Optimization of Perennial grasses for Biomass Production (Optima) and Information tool for sustainable biomass resources for biofuel production (Tender). Currently she is the leader of the EU Life project Biomass C+. So far this year (2020) she has contributed with 4 scientific works; 1 article in Biomass & Bioenergy (Q1), one chapter in an international book by invitation (Nova Science Publishers), 1 scientific article in Proceedings of the European Biomass Conference & Exhibition 2020 and one poster in an international congress. She has been granted with 5 (five) recognized periods of research by CNEAI (Spanish National Commission for Research Evaluation).
