Descripción Breve de Actividad Realizada

My name is Mateo Cámara Largo, and I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Telecommunications Engineering (E.T.S.I. de Telecomunicación) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). I have taught 192 hours of university-level courses in the Bachelor\\\'s Degree in Data Engineering and Systems, as well as in the Master\\\'s Degrees in Telecommunication Engineering and in Signal Theory and Communications. I have supervised six final degree projects and am currently supervising two more. My training includes 376 hours of specialized courses focused on both teaching skills and technical knowledge in my field.

In research, I have four Q1 JCR publications in areas related to acoustic and image signal processing, along with eight contributions to international conferences, five of which I attended as a speaker. I completed a predoctoral research stay at Queen Mary University of London under the supervision of Dr. Joshua Reiss, working on speech synthesis systems based on human articulatory models. I am currently undertaking a postdoctoral stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Dr. Stefanie Shattuck-Hufnagel, focused on the advanced detection of key acoustic events in both typical and Parkinsonian speech.

I have participated in eight research projects, both national and international, funded by public and private institutions. I received the award for Best Master\\\'s Thesis from the Official College of Telecommunication Engineers and the Best Doctoral Thesis award at the international IberSpeech conference. I am also part of the Robotrader group, recognized as the best educational innovation group in 2022. I have won two data analysis hackathons and received the first prize in the ActúaUPM startup competition in 2020. I am a member of SSR-UPM, IPTC-UPM, AES, AEIT, and a registered member of COIT. I am fluent in English, consistently receive excellent teaching evaluations at UPM, and engage in academic and scientific outreach through YouTube.
