I became Associate profesor at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2000, where I have been involved in teaching duties at the Civil Engineering School until now. I have participated in two trojects of innovation for education, consisting in creating a wiki to share abilities, questions and students work in different subjects.

Concerning the research activity I started muy training in the research team of Prof. E. Zuazua focused in the control of partial differential equations and their numerical approximation, where I obtained my PhD. After this first training period I was in PostDoc at Paris under the advising of G. Allaire, where we studyed optimal control problems with the homogenization method. My research has been involved in control and numerical analysis for partial differential equations. In the last years my interest has been more focused in the optimal control of conservation laws and fluid dynamics as well as the numerical methods for controllability and inverse problems.
