Descripción Breve de Actividad Realizada
Raúl G. Sachis (Ph.D in Economics, with honours, at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain, M.Phil in Environmental and Development Economics at University of Oslo in Norway) is an Associate Professor in Economics at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), in the Department of Organization Engineering, Business Administration and Statistics at the School of Computer Engineering. He also is the Head of the Teaching Innovation Group in Economics and Business at the UPM, and the Coordinator of International Mobility for students in the Bachelor in Business Administration at the UPM School of Computer Engineering. His research is focused on microeconomics, particularly on time allocation, wellbeing and behavioral economics from a multidisciplinary perspective. He has published in top journals in different fields, such as Economics, Social Sciences and Applied Mathematics. He is linked to the following research groups and institutes: the UPM research group on Decision Analysis and Statistics (DASG), the UCM group on Applied Mathematical Economics (ECOMAP), and the Complutense Institute of International Studies (ICEI). Last, but not the least, Prof. Sanchis has held different visiting positions: University of Cambridge (in 2011, after being awarded by the "Queen Victoria Eugenia Chair of Doctoral Studies" of the British Hispanic Foundation held in the Complutense University of Madrid, and in 2017), the RCC at Harvard University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M, after being awarded by the UC3M Postdoctoral Scheme), and the London School of Economics, where he currently is an invited visitor.
