Descripción Breve de Actividad Realizada

From 2023 I am reader professor (Profesor Contratado Doctor) in the Applied Mathematics for ICT Dep. at ETSIST (Technical University of Madrid, UPM). On 2020, I obtained a tenured track position (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) on UPM. From 2021 I have been part of ADAI: PID2021-124473NB-I00.

On 2019, I started a INFN fellowship in Firenze. I was resuming my research line about dispersion relations and HPC simulations for collider phenomenology. Unfortunately, the COVID19 pandemic struck few months after starting. One of my closest collaborators even got the worst serious form of COVID and left science. In any case, I managed to resume this line of research with my old UCM collaborators.

On 2017, I started my first post-doc in the T30f group at TUM (Munich) with a Ramon Areces fellowship and joined an international lattice collaboration, TUMQCD. I was introduced to the highly computational field of lattice QCD and acquired cutting-edge computational knowledge via the LRZ courses, supported by agreements with companies like Intel.

On 2016 I defended my PhD on collider physics. This involved several computational algebra utilities (Mathematica, the FormCalc interface to FORM, Maple,...) and Monte-Carlo packages (MadGraph, Pythia, Delphes, ROOT,...).

Before my PhD, I collaborated with Prof.F.Sols and Dr.I.Zapata under a short-term research contract in a project related with condensed matter (Anderson\'s model) using Maple, the applied mathematics computational framework PARI/GP and a tailored C++ program. On top of that, I obtained my Master in Teaching (UNED).

Focusing on the ADAI project, I contributed [doi:10.1007/s11786-025-00601-9]. I have several commits on the software repository \"da_wilson\" and managed the most computationally challenging Gröbner basis computations (via \"da_wilson\" package) on ADAI computing system. I have both used and contributed the Mathematica-based software package \"vectors\". And I have been in charge of the technical part of the acquisition, administration and maintenance of the ADAI computer, that was acquired with the ADAI funding and a UPM co-funding. It is necessary for dealing with the massive algebraic computation that the project involves.

I have also maintained my collaborations on theoretical physics. In particular, I recently developed the MaMuPaXS tool (github.com/mamupaxs/mamupaxs), aimed at numerically integrate total cross sections of 2->n (n=2,3,4,5) processes within the massless approximation. This tool, based on Fortran and Scipy (Python), was developed for the recent publication [doi:10.1007/JHEP03(2024)037]. I also contributed several papers that are natural continuations of my PhD work [doi: 10.1103/PhysRevD.107.044073, 10.1007/JHEP01(2022)129, 10.1007/JHEP11(2019)065].

The last five years I was also publishing my work at TUM. I have contributed the TUMQCD Collaboration paper [doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.107.074503], focusing on the computational part of the project. I managed the 200TB of data interchange between Fermilab (USA) and SuperMUC (Germany) supercomputing centers, facing both technical, administrative and regulatory challenges. Furthermore, I contributed several parts of the analysis Python scripts, checks on the transferred lattice configurations and adapting the QuantumFDTD framework to the relativistic Schrödinger Equation. With (at the time) Grad Student Mr. Sebastian Steinbeißer and post-doc Dr. Johannes Heinrich Weber we turned this part of the project into the publication of version 3 of QuantumFDTD computational framework and the publication (doi:10.1016/j.cpc.2021.108250). Prof. Michael Strickland (Kent State University, USA), the original developer of QuantumFDTD, was coauthor of these contributions.

Concerning the supervision of grad and Master students, I am currently supervising a Master Thesis (TFM) on the Quantum Walk Algorithm and its performance. This is a continuation of another Master Thesis, successfully defended last year. The new student is both extending the previous work and working on implementing the algorithms on actual quantum computers.
A former bachelor thesis student obtained the \"Matrícula de Honor\" mention with his work on image classification via machine learning algorithms for medical purposes. Another bachelor thesis students defended his thesis about the mathematics of RSA cryptography.

To sum up, my research career has been mainly focused on computational algebra (Quantum Field Theory, analytic computations, contributions to ADAI project) and numerical computation (lattice QCD, high energy physics Monte-Carlo,...). I have also dealed with the complexities of different supercomputing systems: Barcelona Supercomputer System at TIRANT, Valencia; SuperMUC, Germany; Fermilab supercomputing facilities, USA; CERN grid; local clusters at UCM, T30f Department at TUM, INFN; ADAI computing system at UPM;...
